YB Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin is the life and soul of Sapura Energy. As one of the pioneers, he has spearheaded the transformation of a domestic-focused oil and gas contractor to a global integrated oil and gas services and solutions provider with operations across the entire upstream value chain. Mr Johann Pleinnger has been with OMV since 1977. He was one of the Executive Board members responsible for Exploration & Production at OMV Petrom in Bucharest from 2007 – 2013. As Senior Vice President, he contributed to the development of the core Upstream countries such as Romania, Austria and the Black Sea Region. In 2015, he has been a member of the OMV Executive Board in charge of Upstream (Exploration & Production). Mr Pleinnger has been the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board since July 2017.
YB Tan Sri Ibrahim Menudin has been contributing to the development of the country since his early career beginnings. He was the Accountant General of Sabah from 1976 to 1979. He then resigned to become the CEO of Bumiputra Investment Fund of Sabah till 1985. He also served as the board member of other Sabah Government corporations involved in finance, forestry plantations, hotel and property development during his tenure. Tan Sri lbrahim was Executive Director and Group Chief Executive of Malaysia Mining Corporation Berhad, Chairman of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad, Gas Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Malakoff Berhad and a Board Member of Ashton Mining Limited (Australia) and Plutonic Resources Ltd (Australia) from 1985 to 2001. He was also the Special Advisor to Sabah’s Chief Minister and is currently the Chairman of Suria Capital Holdings Berhad.
Mr Gabriel Selischi first served as Senior Manager at Schlumberger and Principal at Gemini Consulting, managing the transfer of several mature offshore oil and gas concessions in Africa while stabilizing production. Mr Selischi joined OMV in 2006 where he was Head of Strategy, Project & Engineering, Domestic Asset and Member of the Executive Board responsible for the Upstream Division of Petrom – the largest Central European Oil and Gas Company. In 2016, he was appointed as the Senior Vice President responsible for the Australasia organisation of OMV and Non-Executive Board Member of SapuraOMV JV. He is currently the Senior Vice President of Development for Business Development, Exploration, Projects Maturation and Exploration & Execution, and Technical Support.
Datuk Mohd. Anuar Taib joined the oil and gas industry in 1990 after completing his Mechanical Engineering with the Royal Dutch Shell subsidiary in Malaysia, Sarawak Shell Berhad. His well-rounded experience with Shell in Malaysia, the US and the Asia-Pacific region culminated his position of the Chairman of Shell Companies in Malaysia in 2010. He then joined PETRONAS as the Vice President of Development and Production and acted as the CEO of PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. His contributions were instrumental in the improvement in the delivery of capital projects while reducing operating costs. Datuk Anuar also served as the Non-Executive Chairman of Shell Refining Company (FOM) Berhad from 2010 to 2012 and PETRONAS Gas Berhad from 2016 to 2019.
Mr Peter Zeilinger has been with OMV Group for more than 27 years and held various technical and managerial positions in Austria, Pakistan, Romania and New Zealand. He led the Australasia Region of OMV in Wellington as Director for OMV Australia PTY and Managing Director for OMV New Zealand Ltd, at the time the largest crude oil producer in the country from 2011 to 2016. He also spent nearly a decade with OMV Petrom in Romania, helmed the domestic on and offshore oil and gas operations, and subsequently acted as an Executive Board member responsible for Upstream in Romania, the Black Sea region and Kazakhstan. Upon returning to OMV in Vienna in 2020, he took over the position of Senior Vice President Exploration, Production & Development. He is currently the Senior Vice President for OMV’s Middle East & Africa Region.
